It’s with great honor that I announce the 9th Congress of the IFFPSS. For the first time we will actually have a World Congress I presume. Because it is the first done in Asia and probably should contain the majority of nationalities participating. The Organizing Committee, under the command of Dr. Chihwen Twu, is not measuring efforts to make everything look perfect. It will be a unique chance to exchange experiences and learn from the best teachers in the world. I’m looking forward see you in Taipei.

It is our great honor and pleasure to welcome you to Taiwan and to the 9th World Congress of Facial Plastic Surgery. By means of educational and professional activities, the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies supports and promotes facial plastic surgery societies around the world. During the past decade, we are pleased to see the developing and blooming of the facial plastic surgery specialty in Asian countries and we are delighted to be a part of this meaningful event because this is the first time that the world congress of IFFPS being hosted in Asia.
Changhua Christian Hospital was established by Dr. David Landsborough in 1896, it became one of the largest health care system in Taiwan during the past 123 years that owns a medical center with 8 branch hospitals with a capacity of 4,000 inpatients and 15,000 outpatients a day. Being the record-breaking hospital, we are the first hospital in Taiwan that obtained the 6th Edi. Joint Commission International Accreditation, the first hospital that performed microvascular free flap reconstruction by ENT surgeons in Taiwan, and we are the only hospital in Taiwan that possessed presidents of Taiwan Society of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Taiwan Society for Skull Base Surgery, Taiwan Head and Neck Society, and Taiwan Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Being the president of Taiwan Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the Superintendent of Changhua Christian Hospital, I’m delighted to work with the TAFPRS president Chih-Wen Twu in our hospital. I believe that the speakers and participants from all over the world can have fully exchange of knowledge, skills and deepen our friendships.

It is my great pleasure to invite you to attend 9th World Congress of Facial Plastic Surgery. This historical meeting will be held in Taipei, Taiwan, Feb 6-9, 2020 and hosted by the TFPRS (Taiwan Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) in Taipei International Convention Center (TICC).
The IFFPSS2020 will draw many talented Facial Plastic Surgeons from the whole world. This is the first ever gathering like this in the history of Facial Plastic Surgery and would have a profound impact on Facial Plastic Surgeons for generations. The meeting itself will provide a unique opportunity for Facial Plastic Surgeons to show their contributions and achievements to Plastic Surgery with pride of our culture and heritage. It will also provide an opportunity to exchange scientific knowledge and to promote friendship and ties among us.
We have an excellent group of speakers who are covering up to date hot topics and are enthusiastic to share their knowledge with you. We also have a fine exhibition where I would encourage you to spend some time with the company representatives. We would not be able to run our conference without these wonderful people so we are very grateful to them all.
Taipei will not only be a place to acquire knowledge. The beauty and magic of this pacific city combined with the warmth of the climate and of our Taiwan people will make it an experience worth having. In addition, you will enjoy not only a beautiful spring season but also the Lantern Festival here.
