On 29 February Airports Council international (ACI) released the 2015 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey result, in which TTIA won the second award in the Best Airport by size 25 to 40 million passenger volume. The top three are New Deli, Mumbai (both first), TTIA (second), and Shanghai Hongqiao. In 2015 ASQ added a new prize category, Best Airport by Size and Region (over 2 million passengers), in which TTIA, with its heavy operation load, won the 3rd place in the competitive Asia Pacific region.
TTIA’s 2015 passenger volume reached 38.47 million, growing 7.45% in comparison with the figure of 2014. Facing the fierce service quality competition, TTIA continues to enrich passenger experiences by unfolding hardware and software upgrade projects, T2 expansion in April, and T3 detail design; all these efforts aim at giving international passengers touching services.
In her congratulation letter, ACI Director-General Angela Gittens describes ASQ survey as the airport industry’s most respected award. In 2015, 300 airports in more than 80 countries take part in the survey. The more than 550 thousand questionnaires issued cover 34 investigation items in 8 major categories, including departure and arrival services such as check-in, security check, signage, and food & beverage. Its research result gives airports complete passenger experience analysis.
