| Dear friends,
On behalf of the Society,
it is my great pleasure and honor to introduce
you the TAFPRS. The full name of TAFPRS is “Taiwan
Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery”,
which has been established since October, 2005
in Taipei.
The annual meeting of TAFPRS has
been an important academic assembly for the Otolaryngologists,
Plastic surgeons, Ophthalmologists, and other
specialists involving the facial surgery from
Taiwan and other Asia Pacific regions. At the
end of 2004, the Taiwan’s specialists involving
facial plastic and reconstructive surgery were
trying to establish a new society. After one year
later, the TAFPRS was formally established. It
has been proved to be the extremely significant
academy to share our experiences and expand our
knowledge in this field, as well as to refresh
our friendship. The society is trying its best
to prepare an outstanding scientific program and
activities. The activities will consist of many
special lectures including live demonstration
surgeries, and free papers. The special lectures
and symposia will cover the update and hot topics
in our specialty. The Event will bring together
the leading experts in the field of facial plastic
and reconstructive surgery. The scientific program
covers all the major areas of the field in a balanced
entity, simultaneously focusing on topical issues.
The society has the ambition to present a broad
spectrum of scientific highlights, innovations
and educational issues. The academy of the society
will update us with most essential new knowledge
as well as scientific advancements in this field.
